Hot Pilates is turning up the heat again! Shannon Nadj, the visionary behind Hot Pilates, has just launched her first reformer Pilates studio right next to her popular heated mat Pilates space in West Hollywood, California, where celebrities like Lori Harvey are already making their way to this new fitness oasis. As Nadj shares, “As we approach our 10th year of Hot Pilates, our clients have requested reformer classes since Pilates is experiencing a surge in popularity. This inspired me to share my expertise and reintroduce classical reformer Pilates.”
So, what can you expect from these classes? “Participants will be using classical machines that help activate those tiny muscles you may not even know exist,” Nadj explains. She emphasizes that the sessions will involve athletic-style Pilates while maintaining classical integrity and passion to foster a strong core, increase flexibility, and improve posture.
Unlike her traditional Hot Pilates classes, the new studio won’t be heated to 95°F. However, Nadj assures that the fitness sessions will still pack a punch. “Classes are 50 minutes long and unheated, but you will definitely break a sweat. I’ve designed the environment to be a simple and modern wellness sanctuary, tailored for an intimate, hands-on experience, where everyone can feel at home.”
Nadj highlights the synergy between the reformer workouts and mat sessions, stating that “the reformer doesn’t lie and ensures correct movement. Incorporating 2 to 3 reformer classes each week allows you to harness the resistance from the springs, enhancing your mat workouts.” She notes, “Combining these two approaches is transformative. My body has noticeably changed after just a few sessions.”
