The world of Pilates has just turned up the temperature with a hot new addition. Shannon Nadj, the visionary behind Hot Pilates, has unveiled her first ever reformer Pilates studio adjacent to her celebrated heated mat Pilates facility in West Hollywood, California. Celebrities like Lori Harvey are already making a beeline for this latest fitness retreat. As Nadj shares with Entertainment Tonight, her decision to expand into reformer classes comes as a response to clients who have expressed a desire for more options amidst the growing trend of Pilates. With nearly a decade of Hot Pilates experience, Nadj is eager to draw from her expertise and reintroduce the fundamentals of classical reformer Pilates.
What can enthusiasts expect from this new offering? “Clients will engage with traditional machines that target those smaller, often overlooked muscles in the body,” Nadj explains. She emphasizes a blend of athletic-style movements infused with the integrity of classical Pilates to help participants strengthen their core, enhance flexibility, and improve their posture.
While this spot won’t be cranked up to a steamy 95°F like its sister studio, Nadj assures that the sessions are designed to get participants sweating. “Classes last for 50 minutes and aren’t heated, but you will definitely feel the burn. I aimed to create a modern and inviting wellness sanctuary that feels personal and welcoming,” she says.
The synergy between the two spaces is noteworthy, as Nadj points out that the reformer is an honest companion in ensuring proper form during workouts. “Integrating two to three reformer classes into your weekly routine can enhance the resistance experienced in mat workouts,” she notes, adding that this combination is transformative. “After just a few sessions, I’ve noticed significant changes in my body,” she reveals.
With each studio offering its unique atmosphere, they are designed to complement each other seamlessly, making it easier for individuals to create a well-rounded Pilates practice. This refreshing evolution in Nadj’s offerings promises a thrilling new chapter for Pilates devotees in Los Angeles and beyond.
