Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces Serious Allegations of Rape at 2000 VMAs Afterparty
Sean “Diddy” Combs is confronting grave accusations of sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl during an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000. The now-37-year-old woman has initiated a lawsuit against Combs in a New York federal court, claiming that the incident took place on September 7, 2000, after she felt unwell from a drink at the party.
According to the lawsuit, which spans 19 pages, the plaintiff, referred to as Jane Doe, sought refuge in an unoccupied bedroom. Soon after entering, Combs and two other celebrities allegedly followed her inside. The filing alleges that Combs approached her aggressively, with what the lawsuit describes as “a crazed look in his eyes,” and exclaimed, “You are ready to party!”
The court documents further state that Combs allegedly threw the girl toward another unidentified male celebrity, labeled as Celebrity A, who then removed her clothing while she became increasingly disoriented. The lawsuit claims that Celebrity A held her down and sexually assaulted her while Combs and a female celebrity, referred to as Celebrity B, looked on. It is alleged that Combs also raped her and tried to force her to engage in oral sex, an act she resisted by striking him, subsequently allowing her to escape.
The aftermath of the alleged assault left the plaintiff deeply affected, with the lawsuit indicating that she fell into a severe depression that continues to impact her life significantly. Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing her, has recently filed several lawsuits against Combs, alleging he has harmed multiple individuals, with two of the alleged victims being men and three women—including the teenager.
Buzbee has accused Combs of drugging his alleged victims, indicating a pattern of abuse that spans decades. He commented that they are prepared to file more cases in the coming weeks as they continue to gather evidence. Buzbee represents over 120 clients who claim to have been victimized by Combs in various incidents.
In response to the allegations, Combs’ legal team issued a statement expressing confidence in his innocence and intention to defend his reputation in court. They characterized the lawsuit as part of a broader campaign aimed at generating publicity and asserted that Combs has never committed any sexual assault against anyone.
The rapper’s reputation has come under increasing scrutiny recently, particularly following allegations made by his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who accused him of rape and abusive behavior. Although the two quickly reached a settlement in that case, it opened the door for many others to come forward with similar claims against Combs.
Combs has faced significant legal hurdles lately, including his recent arrest in New York City on charges related to racketeering, sex trafficking, and prostitution. As he remains in custody, he continues to plead not guilty to these serious allegations, awaiting his day in court.
