Jax Taylor recently opened up about a dramatic incident involving his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, during an episode of Bravo’s “Hot Mic” podcast. The reality star painted a vivid picture of a moment when he “saw red” after discovering explicit photos Brittany had been sending to his friend, Julian Sensley. This revelation led to Taylor throwing furniture in a fit of rage, an outburst that he described as his breaking point.
Taylor explained that, despite their separation, things had seemingly improved between him and Cartwright. They had even considered rekindling their relationship, and just before a Fourth of July trip, he felt optimistic about their future together. However, upon returning home, he noticed that Brittany was still in contact with Julian, which he thought had turned into something more than a casual fling.
The former bartender recounted the moment he stumbled upon the explicit messages. He expressed that seeing Brittany’s continued communication with Sensley, especially involving pictures of their young son, pushed him over the edge. In an emotional confession, Taylor revealed, “I just lost it… I threw furniture. That was my breaking point.” Fortunately, their son, Cruz, was not in the vicinity during this volatile episode.
Following this turmoil, friends of Taylor staged an intervention, urging him to seek help. He eventually checked into a mental health facility for a month. During this time, he was diagnosed with multiple mental health disorders, including bipolar disorder and PTSD.
In a twist to the unfolding drama, Cartwright later addressed the situation on the podcast, insisting her involvement with Sensley was unintentional and arguing that Taylor had his own infidelities during their separation. She pointed to his past indiscretions, which included bringing women home during their time apart.
However, Taylor maintained that they had established certain boundaries regarding their separation, including not pursuing relationships with friends or acquaintances. He emphasized that finding out about Brittany’s involvement with someone he considered a close friend felt like a significant betrayal.
Reflecting on the turmoil of the past months, Taylor admitted that the fallout from these revelations sent him spiraling. As for Brittany, she filed for divorce in August, officially marking the end of their relationship. The couple, who share a son together, have been navigating their complicated dynamic amid the public scrutiny that comes with their reality TV fame.
