Bonnie Chapman, the daughter of television personality Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, has opened up about her impressive journey of losing 60 pounds with the aid of the weight-loss drug Tirezepatide. The 25-year-old revealed her transformation during a recent interview, highlighting the struggles she faced over the years in her battle with weight.
From the age of 18, Bonnie had been on a quest to shed pounds but became frustrated with the lack of results from various diets, including the Mediterranean and Paleo plans. In her candid discussion, she stated, “I’ve been trying to lose weight since I was probably 18 years old. And it was just very frustrating to constantly be trying, constantly be putting in the work.”
Initially prescribed Ozempic, Bonnie experienced nausea and decided to switch to Tirezepatide. She began the injection regimen last December, quickly seeing results as she lost 10 pounds within just two weeks. At first, she struggled to notice visual changes, stating, “I’m stepping on a scale and I’m seeing the numbers go down, but I’m looking at myself and I’m like, ‘Where do I see it?’” But as the weight continued to drop—from 196 pounds to her target of 130 pounds—emotional breaks of joy became frequent as she embraced the reality of her transformation.
Bonnie reflected on her emotional connection to food, particularly after significant life events, including the death of her mother, Beth Chapman, in 2019, and a house fire that destroyed her rental property in Virginia in April 2023. Now, Bonnie has adopted healthier eating habits and limits indulgences like sushi and sweets to only a few occasions a month. “Once I started to see that I was getting full a lot less quickly, I was able to actually eat half a portion of my meal,” she shared.
The influencer, now weighing 126 pounds, expressed pride in her progress. “The last time I really felt good was when I was probably in high school. And I was like, if I can get to this weight, then I’ll be happy. I just felt like I was finally me again.” In addition to the medication, she credited Morph Fitness for playing a role in helping her reach her goals.
Bonnie also addressed her diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as a teenager, which complicated her weight management efforts. PCOS is a hormonal disorder known to cause various symptoms, including weight gain, and its management can be a struggle for many women.
As Bonnie continues her journey, she remains committed to maintaining her health and well-being, striving for balance as she navigates her new lifestyle.
