Congratulations are in order for Ben Platt and Noah Galvin!
The couple recently celebrated their nuptials with a sumptuous three-day wedding extravaganza in New York City, organized by renowned event planner Mindy Weiss, over the Labor Day Weekend.
The festivities kicked off with a Shabbat dinner on August 30.
“Since some of Ben’s family observes Shabbat, we had to wait until Sunday to have the wedding. To keep the celebration going, we hosted a bar hang with games and Lombardi’s pizza on Saturday night at Cellar Dog in the West Village,” Galvin shared with Vogue.
The main event took place on Sunday at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, Brooklyn, where the couple exchanged vows. They both donned matching cream suits designed by Jared Ellner and crafted by Arel Studio.
The star-studded guest list included Hollywood notables such as Beanie Feldstein, Kaitlyn Dever, and Zoey Deutch.
Platt and Galvin’s love story began in January 2020, though they first met in the fall of 2014 when Galvin invited Platt to guest star on his web series.
“Our initial meeting was a small shoot in his mom’s old apartment where we did improv together,” Platt reminisced. “I played his quirky roommate who was obsessed with cacti and had a sentimental attachment to his distant cousin Josh Groban. Noah seemed moderately interested.”
Platt proposed in November 2022, and Galvin returned the gesture in May 2023.
“It was a few days before Thanksgiving, and both of our families were there for the proposal,” Galvin recounted. “What I thought would be a casual pre-drag show dinner at Laser Wolf turned into a magical, intimate candle-lit evening, straight out of ‘The Bachelorette.’ It was a dream come true, complete with a performance by one of my favorite singers and a cake from my favorite chef, Claire Saffitz. I was overwhelmed with joy.”
“When I came to, I found a stunning Grace Lee signet-style engagement ring on my finger. I proposed back to Ben with his own Grace Lee ring a few months later, though the scavenger hunt I planned didn’t quite go as expected,” Galvin added.
