Jennifer Garner’s stunning Los Angeles farmhouse, valued at $7.9 million, was built after her divorce from Ben Affleck in 2018. The same retreat provided solace for Affleck during his separation from Jennifer Lopez.
In July, the “Argo” star was spotted arriving at the property, which Garner designed as a cozy haven following her split from Affleck. Garner, 52, opened her home to Architectural Digest, highlighting how she loves to use the space for family gatherings and entertaining friends.
The actress discussed the joys of her home, including its open living room that extends to a deck and pool, ideal for hosting pool parties where she often has to keep an eye on wet kids. She also mentioned the delight her children and their friends find in the slumber party room, which features built-in bunk beds.
Garner, who shares three children—Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12—with Affleck, said the farmhouse was a personal project that evolved from her desire for a private yet family-friendly space. Initially, she struggled to find the right home, leading her to build one that felt both historic and functional for her family’s needs.
She collaborated with architects Steve and Brooke Giannetti, along with designer Laura Putnam, to bring her vision to life. Garner described the process as straightforward, with minimal changes from the initial design.
The farmhouse includes unique features such as a Harry Potter-themed office for Samuel, a saltwater aquarium, and a reading nook with stained glass windows. Garner also enjoys her backyard orchard and vegetable garden, which contribute to her family’s sustainable lifestyle.
Despite her normally private nature, Garner chose to share her home, expressing pride and gratitude for the space she created. She finds joy in every corner of the house and cherishes the time spent with her children there.
