John Summit, Tiësto, and Calvin Harris are set to headline Fontainebleau Las Vegas’ LIV for New Year’s Eve celebrations. Harris will kick off the festivities on December 29, followed by Summit, with Tiësto closing out the year and ringing in 2025. “New Year’s week has always been epic in Las Vegas. With this lineup of Calvin Harris, John Summit, and Tiësto, we undoubtedly have the best of the best,” said David Grutman, founder of Groot Hospitality. “Fontainebleau Las Vegas this New Year’s will be unmatched.”
Billie Eilish Becomes Spotify’s Most-Streamed Monthly Artist
Billie Eilish has achieved a major milestone, becoming Spotify’s most-streamed monthly artist as of August 19. She surpassed The Weeknd, reaching over 100 million monthly listeners by June 2024. Eilish is now one of only three artists—joining The Weeknd and Taylor Swift—to have achieved this feat. Her third album, *Hit Me Hard and Soft*, continues to dominate the charts since its May 17 release. Eilish is also a member of Spotify’s Billions Club, with eight of her tracks exceeding one billion streams each, including hits like “Ocean Eyes,” “Bad Guy,” and “Happier Than Ever.”
Joe Walsh to Host 8th Annual VetsAid Concert
Joe Walsh will host his eighth annual VetsAid concert on November 11 at UBS Arena in Elmont, NY. The lineup includes Eric Church, Toto, and Kool & the Gang. VetsAid is dedicated to curating an exclusive festival lineup each year in cities with significant veteran and military populations. Walsh expressed excitement about this year’s diverse lineup, which spans genres from country and pop to rock, funk, and gospel. Spotify’s ‘Year of the Cowgirl’ Celebration
In response to rising interest in “cowgirl” playlists, Spotify has declared 2024 the “Year of the Cowgirl” and celebrated with a star-studded party in Los Angeles on August 7. Held at the country lounge Desert 5 Spot in Hollywood, the event featured performances by Carly Pearce and Carter Faith, and a special DJ set by Brandi Cyrus. Guests enjoyed cocktails, light bites, and showcased their line dancing skills. “Year of the Cowgirl party with @spotify 💫,” Cyrus shared on Instagram. “So much fun to DJ this event & celebrate the release of my Wildflowers & Wild Horses remix 🐴💐.” Spotify also launched a new “Year of the Cowgirl” destination, offering fans a curated collection of country-themed music, artists, playlists, podcasts, and more.
