In a stunning revelation, Rachel Uchitel recounted her decision to decline an opportunity to appear on “Celebrity Apprentice” following her tumultuous involvement in the Tiger Woods scandal. On Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, Uchitel described the unexpected early morning call from Trump himself, who reached out while she was in Las Vegas. “It was about 7 a.m., and I’ll never forget it. I woke up to Donald Trump asking me to join ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’” she shared.
At first, Uchitel was intrigued, stating, “I thought, ‘Why wouldn’t I say yes?’” However, after reflecting on her circumstances, she opted instead for a different venture: Season 4 of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” She believed this project would present a more fitting opportunity to reshape her public persona, especially given the heavy scrutiny she faced after being labeled the “villain” in the fallout from Woods’ highly publicized infidelity.
“It was difficult being in the spotlight for the wrong reasons,” Uchitel admitted. “I felt like the whole world had a negative perception of me without truly knowing who I am.” The decision to engage in VH1’s unscripted format, which promised an unfiltered look at her journey, was motivated by her desire to reclaim her narrative.
