Rachel Zoe and her husband, Rodger Berman, have decided to part ways after 26 years of marriage. The fashion designer took to Instagram to announce the news, sharing that the decision was mutual after 33 years together as a couple and 26 of those years spent as husband and wife.
“After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have made the mutual decision to end our marriage,” Zoe, 53, wrote in her heartfelt message. “We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together. Our number one priority has been and will always be our children.”
Zoe and Berman, 55, have been a well-known duo in both the fashion and entertainment worlds. The couple first met in 1991 while attending George Washington University and tied the knot in 1998. Over the years, they shared many moments of their relationship with the public, particularly on Zoe’s reality TV show, *The Rachel Zoe Project*, which aired from 2008 to 2013, offering a glimpse into their personal and professional lives.
Throughout their marriage, the pair welcomed two sons: Skyler, 13, and Kaius, 11. In her Instagram post, Zoe emphasized that despite the end of their marriage, co-parenting their sons remains their top priority. “We are committed to co-parent our boys and to continue to work together within the many businesses we share,” Zoe added, pointing to the strong professional relationship they have maintained over the years.
Brightopis reported Zoe requested privacy for her family as they navigate this new chapter of their lives, signing off the announcement with a message of gratitude: “With love and gratitude — Rachel & Rodger.”
In the days leading up to the announcement, Zoe shared glimpses of her personal life on social media, spending time with her children and enjoying a night out with friends. On Father’s Day earlier this year, she posted a touching tribute to Berman, calling him “one of the best” and expressing gratitude for the love and care he has shown to their family.
Throughout their long relationship, Zoe and Berman were open about the secret to their enduring marriage. In a 2017 interview, the couple revealed that small acts of kindness, such as bringing each other coffee or remembering little details, were key to keeping their relationship strong. “It’s the little things,” Zoe had said, while Berman mentioned that bringing Zoe Starbucks in the morning was a “true act of love.”
They also credited their ability to quickly resolve conflicts as a reason their marriage lasted for so long. “We don’t let anger linger,” Zoe shared in a past interview. “We talk things out, and we recover quickly—usually within three to five minutes.”
Despite their decision to separate, Zoe and Berman’s love and respect for each other remain evident, as they continue to prioritize their children and their shared professional endeavors. The couple’s fans and followers, who have followed their journey through reality television, social media, and public appearances, will undoubtedly be wishing them both well as they move forward into this new chapter.
