Kristin Cavallari has broken her silence following the recent DUI arrest of her ex-husband, Jay Cutler. The reality TV star took to her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” to address the situation, clarifying that the episode was recorded before the incident occurred last Thursday. She emphasized to her audience, “I wanted to hop on here and just let you guys know that this episode was recorded right before a very public incident that happened last week with my ex-husband, so just keep that in mind as you’re listening.”
In her statement, Cavallari expressed, “I do, of course, wish Jay nothing but the best, and I do hope that he gets the help that he needs,” while stating that she would refrain from commenting further about the situation publicly.
Cavallari and Cutler were married from 2013 until their separation in 2020, finalizing their divorce in 2022. Together they share three children: sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, 8.
Cutler was apprehended in Franklin, Tennessee, facing several charges, including DUI and gun possession. Reports indicate that he was involved in a rear-end collision and allegedly tried to evade the scene, even attempting to offer the other driver $2,000 to settle the matter without police involvement.
Upon police arrival, they noted signs of impairment, including bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, along with a strong smell of alcohol. Cutler reportedly denied consuming alcohol at first, later admitting to having “a little bit.” After refusing field sobriety tests, he was taken to a hospital for a blood sample based on a search warrant.
A search of Cutler’s vehicle yielded two loaded firearms, raising the severity of the incident. As of now, the former NFL quarterback has not publicly addressed the recent events surrounding his arrest.
