Jason Kelce’s 3-year-old daughter is in her “Tortured Poet’s Department” era.
On the “Pivot Podcast” Tuesday, the former Philadelphia Eagles player was asked about his daughters’ favorite Taylor Swift song, given the pop star’s relationship with his younger brother, Travis Kelce.
“Well, lately, we’ve been listening a lot to ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,’” Jason shared. He noted that his middle daughter, Ellie, has taken a particular liking to the track.
“There’s a line in the song that goes, ‘I’m a real tough kid, I can handle my s—t,’” Jason said. “Ellie, being just 3 years old, sings it as, ‘I’m a real tough kid, I can handle my stuff!’”
“That’s all I hear every day,” the 36-year-old continued with a chuckle. “It’s constant, and it always gets to me.”
Along with Ellie, Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce have two other daughters: Wyatt, 4, and Bennett, 1. The couple has been married since 2018.
Jason had previously mentioned that his eldest daughter Wyatt also enjoys Taylor Swift’s music. He’s even referred to the pop star as a positive influence on his daughters.
In June, Jason, Kylie, and Travis traveled to London to see Swift perform as part of her Eras Tour. Upon returning home, Jason enthusiastically shared his concert experiences on their “New Heights” podcast, including videos of Swift’s performance for his daughters.
“It was hit after hit,” he said. “Wyatt’s favorite, ‘The Man,’ was the second song, and I recorded it to send to her.”
Jason also revealed that “Shake It Off” is another favorite in their household.
Since Taylor Swift began dating Travis last summer, Jason and Kylie have become close with the 14-time Grammy winner. The Kelce family recently spent time together at Swift’s Rhode Island home before the NFL season began.
It’s unclear exactly when Jason’s daughters first met Swift, but they seem to have been part of the recent vacation.
Jason sparked a buzz on X Wednesday by responding to a tweet about Swift becoming part of the family. During the latest episode of “New Heights,” he shared a humorous strategy he used to keep his daughters from asking for a cat, claiming he told them “cats are poisonous.”
Social media users, and even Travis, reacted with amusement, questioning how Jason would handle his daughters meeting Swift’s three cats — Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button.
One user inquired, “What’s Jason’s plan when they meet Auntie Taytay’s cats?” to which Jason replied, “It’s going to be hilarious.”
Despite being dubbed the “President of Tayvis Nation” at the start of Travis and Swift’s relationship, Jason has learned to be more reserved about their connection.
