The retired NFL star, 36, was captured in a photo by his former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Beau Allen, showing him sitting with his eyes shut at the Hard Rock Stadium. Allen, 32, humorously referenced Swift’s song “Anti-Hero” in his post, writing, “Sometimes I feel like everyone is a sexy baby and I’m a monster on a hill.”
The image sparked a wave of playful comments on social media, with many users poking fun at Kelce for seemingly catching some z’s. One user quipped, “Is he sleeping?” while another remarked, “He’s just resting his eyes.” A third added, “Them Kelce boys really can sleep anywhere,” in reference to Jason’s apparent talent for napping in public, including on his first date with now-wife Kylie.
The official account for the “New Heights” podcast, co-hosted by Jason and his brother Travis Kelce, joined the fun, commenting, “Caught in 4K.” Despite the lighthearted ribbing, a source close to Jason clarified that it was all in good humor, noting the positioning of his hand in the picture suggested he was just joking around.
Jason attended the concert with Kylie and two of their young daughters, Wyatt, 4, and Elliotte, 3. Meanwhile, his brother Travis, 35, opted out of the concert to prepare for an upcoming game with the Kansas City Chiefs, which is set against the San Francisco 49ers.
Swift’s Miami show marked her return to the U.S. following a European tour and featured several highlights, including a performance in the rain and a surprise appearance by Florence Welch. Though it remains unclear when precisely Jason might have nodded off, he has previously attended an Eras Tour concert alongside his brother and sister-in-law in London.
Despite the teasing, it seems Jason was enjoying the event, even swapping friendship bracelets with fellow fans. Notably, his daughter Ellie has developed a fondness for Swift’s song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” which Jason mentioned on “The Pivot Podcast” in September, claiming it’s on constant repeat in their household.
