Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, along with Hawn’s children Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, made a rare public appearance at The Goldie Hawn Foundation and MindUp’s Love-in Gala on Friday night in Beverly Hills, California.
In a memorable moment from the charity gala, the radiant couple, aged 73 and 78 respectively, posed happily alongside their daughter Kate, who is 45. Hawn’s ensemble was a stunning black pantsuit, featuring a sparkly blazer adorned with white lapels and matching bold white stripes down the legs. She completed her look with black pointed-toe heels and wore her signature blonde locks down.
Kurt Russell looked sharp in an all-black suit paired with a blue tie, while Kate dazzled in a form-fitting, shimmering gold gown that showcased a halter neckline and eye-catching embellishments. The show-stopping dress featured a daring backless design and a thigh-high slit, complemented by her radiant smile.
Kate’s brother Oliver, who is 48, presented a polished look in a dark blue suit, opting to leave his blazer open to reveal a crisp white button-down shirt underneath.
As the night progressed, the family shared tender moments, including an affectionate hug between Hawn and Oliver, highlighting their close-knit bond. MindUp, the organization behind the gala, marks its 20th anniversary this year and is dedicated to promoting mental health through programs designed to help people manage emotions, calm anxiety, and foster a spirit of kindness and gratitude.
The gala attracted several A-list attendees, including Demi Moore, Melanie Griffith, Fergie, Martin Short, and Max Greenfield from “New Girl.” Inside the event, Kate impressed guests with a performance, changing into a glamorous floor-length fringe dress for the show.
Goldie Hawn was visibly proud as she posed for photos with her son Oliver, while the event also celebrated the close relationship Hawn has with her children. Kate recently released her debut album, “Glorious,” which she described as a passion that has been “a lifetime in the making.”
In addition to Kate and Oliver, Hawn is the mother of Wyatt Russell, born in 1986 with Kurt, and Kurt also has a son, Boston Russell, from his previous marriage. Boston and Wyatt were not seen at the event, but Wyatt has collaborated with his father in the Apple TV+ series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters,” which premiered this year.
Despite some past family tensions, Oliver recently clarified on their podcast, “Sibling Revelry,” that his previous comments regarding childhood challenges were taken out of context. He expressed immense love and gratitude for Hawn, emphasizing how crucial she has been in his life.
The gala encapsulated a celebration of family, friendship, and mental health awareness while honoring the lasting legacy of Goldie Hawn’s philanthropic efforts.
