Dorit Kemsley has made bold statements regarding her estranged husband Paul “PK” Kemsley during the premiere of Season 14 of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” On this noteworthy episode, Dorit opened up about their tumultuous separation, labeling PK as a “full-blown alcoholic.”
During a candid conversation with Kathy Hilton, Dorit described their relationship as “very, very toxic.” She revealed to her co-star Erika Jayne that PK’s drinking habits have deteriorated significantly over time. “It’s gotten progressively worse, and little arguments can escalate into full-blown fights,” she explained. Dorit expressed that she didn’t want PK’s “toxic energy” around their two young children, Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8.
Reflecting on their decision to separate, Dorit clarified that there wasn’t a single catastrophic event or infidelity involved. “We sat down like mature adults who care for each other and decided that taking some space is the healthiest option,” she recounted.
In a subsequent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” Dorit indicated that there has been positive communication between her and PK since their split. “Things are good. We are friendly, we are communicating, and nothing has changed drastically,” she said, adding that divorce isn’t even on the table at the moment.
The couple, who tied the knot in March 2015 and publicly announced their separation in May after nearly a decade of marriage, assured their supporters that their children are unaware of the changes in their family dynamic. “We appreciate your love and support while we work through this process,” they stated in their joint announcement.
PK has since been on a sobriety journey, marking six months without alcohol this past June. In his own words on social media, PK shared, “The greatest gift I can give my five kids is to remain sober. I am grateful and proud.”
As their relationship struggles unfold on the current season of the Bravo hit, it remains to be seen how Dorit and PK navigate this challenging chapter in their lives. “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
