Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, has unleashed another cutting diss track aimed at Brianna Chickenfry’s former partner, Zach Bryan. The new release, titled “Country Diddy,” dropped on Sunday and features Portnoy likening the country music star to Sean “Diddy” Combs, particularly in light of Combs’ current legal issues involving serious allegations.
In the track, Portnoy doesn’t hold back, weaving sharp lyrics that criticize Bryan, 28, just days after his breakup with Chickenfry, also known as Brianna LaPaglia, 25. The song features lines like “Country Diddy, Country Diddy / Steal another story write another Country Ditty,” and takes aim at Bryan’s supposed efforts to hush his ex with financial incentives, even referencing the term NDA, which stands for non-disclosure agreement.
Portnoy, 47, expresses frustration in his lyrics over Bryan’s alleged attempts to “shut [him] up” during the aftermath of the breakup. He outright dismisses any legal threats, boldly stating, “Someone tell your cheap lawyers I don’t give a f–k.” The track incorporates imagery in its music video, highlighting a Lego cowboy figure with a guitar, and a piece of paper that reads “NDA,” symbolizing the controversy surrounding Bryan’s past relationships.
LaPaglia reacted to the track on Instagram Stories, calling it “lethal” and expressing her shock at its intensity. She revealed that Portnoy’s latest song emerged after Bryan reportedly made attempts to suppress his exes’ stories, including offers of substantial payouts to sign agreements preventing them from speaking out.
In her podcast, LaPaglia made serious claims against Bryan, alleging emotional abuse during their year-long relationship and stating that he coerced previous partners into signing away their experiences for money. According to her, she herself turned down a $12 million offer to remain silent.
Bryan has not yet responded to the allegations or Portnoy’s latest musical jab. This track comes just four days after Portnoy released “Smallest Man,” where he continued his critique of Bryan. Despite some of his music being removed from streaming platforms due to copyright issues, Portnoy’s determination remains clear as he vows to continue producing diss tracks, stating, “I will write 10,000 diss tracks.”
The situation continues to gain attention as fans and followers of the drama await Bryan’s response to the unfolding events.
