Niecy Nash-Betts is calling out Travis Kelce and his food choices.
In a playful interview with ETalk shared on TikTok, the Emmy-winning actress, who is 54, jokingly referred to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, as “greedy” regarding his eating habits while filming their FX series, “Grotesquerie.”
She humorously shared, “We would eat anything and everything. Travis is greedy. I’m talking burgers to pasta. Only one of us ever ate a salad, and that was me.”
Despite her lighthearted comments, Nash-Betts had nothing but praise for Kelce, describing him as a “dream” to work with. “He is so charming but comes to work prepared,” she remarked in a separate statement to People. “He’s open to learn. I think his fans will be pleasantly surprised.”
“Grotesquerie” centers on a detective, portrayed by Nash-Betts, and a nun, played by Micaela Diamond, who join forces to unravel a series of ghastly murders. Kelce’s character’s involvement in the story remains a mystery, but his role in the series is known to be limited.
This acting opportunity marks Kelce’s first serious role, although he isn’t new to the world of performance. He previously hosted “Saturday Night Live” in March 2023 and made a cameo in the season 49 premiere alongside his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Nash-Betts suggested that Kelce may have developed a passion for acting, stating he indicated interest in exploring more roles in the future.
Kelce’s absence from the New York City premiere of “Grotesquerie” was noted, but his mother, Donna Kelce, was in attendance and expressed her excitement about her son pursuing acting. “It’s so awesome to see your kids do what they absolutely love to do,” she reflected. “I know he wanted to try acting, so we’ll see how it goes.”
