Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently participated in a nutrition panel in Washington, DC, amidst the fallout from his sexting scandal involving New York Magazine journalist Olivia Nuzzi. Despite the controversy surrounding him, insiders noted that Kennedy appeared to be in good spirits during the Senate roundtable discussion on nutrition.
Joining Kennedy on the panel were notable figures, including Jillian Michaels from “The Biggest Loser” and Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, the author of “12 Rules for Life.” Following the revelations about his alleged affair with Nuzzi, the 70-year-old former presidential candidate has been spotted wearing his wedding ring as he continues to navigate through the turmoil.
Kennedy addressed an event titled “American Health and Nutrition: A Second Opinion,” which was moderated by US Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin. Sources familiar with the situation remarked that Kennedy seemed unfazed, with one insider commenting, “He seemed great to me.”
The panel featured a diverse group of participants, including Max Lugavere, host of “The Genius Life” podcast, Calley Means, co-founder of Truemed, HumanCo CEO Jason Karp, “Food Babe” Vani Hari, and several others. Attendees reported a dynamic atmosphere, with discussions focused on challenging the influence of the food and pharmaceutical industries on public health and regulatory bodies.
Kennedy, an outspoken advocate against ultra-processed foods and harmful chemicals, is positioning himself as a significant figure in the conversation about American health, especially as speculations arise regarding a potential cabinet role should Donald Trump reclaim the presidency.
In a recent public remark, Kennedy highlighted historical perceptions of obesity, stating, “One hundred and 20 years ago, when somebody was obese, they were sent to the circus… There were literally case reports done about them. Obesity was almost unknown.”
After endorsing Donald Trump following his withdrawal from the presidential race, Kennedy stated, “Don’t you want a president that’s going to make America healthy again?” He also voiced strong opinions about the food supply, telling Fox News, “You can’t trust what’s on the ingredient label and the reason for that is government corruption… The USDA and the FDA has been captured by the industry they’re supposed to regulate.”
When approached by Fox News host Martha MacCallum regarding his alleged relationship with Nuzzi and if he had any regrets about the situation, Kennedy chose not to comment. “I don’t make comments on it,” he stated. Instead, he expressed his willingness to discuss other pressing issues such as health, the war in Ukraine, inflation, and censorship, leaving the scandal behind as he focused on more significant topics.
