Hot Pilates is turning up the heat in a whole new way. Founder Shannon Nadj has expanded her fitness empire by opening her first reformer Pilates studio right next to her popular heated mat Pilates space in West Hollywood, California. It’s already attracting a slew of high-profile fans, with stars like Lori Harvey making their way to this new fitness destination.
“As we celebrate a decade of Hot Pilates, our clients have expressed a desire for reformer classes given the current buzz around Pilates,” Shannon shared. “I felt motivated to share my expertise and reintroduce classical reformer Pilates.”
So what does this new offering involve? According to Nadj, participants will engage with traditional machines, targeting those often-ignored small muscles in the body. “We’re focused on athletic-style Pilates while maintaining the core principles that define classical methods. My goal is to help clients build a sturdy core, increase flexibility, and improve their posture,” she explained.
Unlike the heated sessions that have made Hot Pilates a standout, these reformer classes will be comfortably unheated, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be effective. “Classes last for 50 minutes, and while it won’t be 95°F in the room, you’ll definitely break a sweat. I’ve created the studio to be a chic and serene wellness escape. With an intimate setting, we’re committed to providing a personalized experience for everyone who walks through our doors.”
The two styles of Pilates complement each other perfectly. “The reformer provides reliable feedback and ensures you’re executing movements correctly. Incorporating reformer classes into your routine a couple of times a week will translate well into your mat workouts,” she added. “The combination is transformative. I’ve noticed incredible changes in my own body after just a few sessions.”
With a welcoming atmosphere and a commitment to classical integrity, Shannon Nadj’s new studio is poised to elevate the Pilates experience for both newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike.
