“1000-Lb. Sisters” star Amy Slaton was reportedly found with magic mushrooms and 80 grams of marijuana when she was arrested at a Tennessee zoo.
According to an arrest warrant obtained by The US Sun, the drugs were discovered in her vehicle during her arrest with male companion Brian Scott Lovvorn on Monday at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo.
Both Slaton, 36, and Lovvorn face charges of illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI substances, as well as two counts of child endangerment, as stated by the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department.
Slaton, who has two sons, Gage, 3, and Glenn, 2, with her ex-husband Michael Halterman, and Lovvorn were reportedly accompanied by two children in the car at the time of their arrest.
After being booked into Crockett County Jail and photographed in their orange jumpsuits, the pair were released the following day on $10,000 bonds and were seen holding hands as they left police custody.
The arrest came after a call about an alleged camel bite at the zoo. The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department noted that deputies, upon arrival, detected suspicious odors emanating from the vehicle.
On Tuesday, TMZ released images of Slaton grimacing on a stretcher while being wheeled into an ambulance. She had a makeshift bandage on her right arm and was reportedly taken to the hospital before being transferred to jail.
Jon Conley, co-owner of Tennessee Safari Park, disputed claims of a camel bite, asserting that Slaton’s injury did not match a camel bite’s typical presentation. Conley noted that no camel bites have ever occurred at their park and there was no supporting surveillance footage for the claim.
