Travis Kelce recently acquired a racehorse named Swift Delivery, and speculation has arisen about whether the horse’s name, which bears a resemblance to his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s last name, played a role in his decision. On the “New Heights” podcast, Travis’s brother, Jason Kelce, questioned whether the name influenced Travis’s purchase. To this, Travis responded, “When the stars align, it just feels good to jump on board.”
Travis, a Kansas City Chiefs tight end, explained that his venture into horse racing was sparked by his friendship with Bruce Zoldan and his son, Alex Zoldan, who are also investors in the horse. The Zoldan family had invited Travis to the Kentucky Derby in March, an experience he described as one of the best times ever. The excitement of the event made him consider getting involved in horse racing, thinking it would be enjoyable to see one’s own horse compete.
Following the Derby, the Zoldan family presented Travis with the opportunity to co-own Swift Delivery. Travis felt it was a natural fit to join forces on this particular horse, given its name and his interest in the sport. “It just made sense to team up with this one – it being Swift Delivery,” he said. Despite his enthusiasm, Travis admitted that he didn’t focus on the technical aspects of the horse’s potential, such as heart size. Instead, he was impressed by Swift Delivery’s performance and positive reviews from previous races.
Swift Delivery is classified as a “finishing horse,” known for reaching top speed towards the end of races. Travis mentioned that the horse’s next race is scheduled within the next two months.
As for his personal life, Travis is preparing for the Chiefs’ season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, which will take place this Thursday. Whether Taylor Swift will attend the game is uncertain, given that she is currently on hiatus from her Eras Tour until October 18. Travis did reassure his brother that he has secured a ticket for him, though he noted that all other tickets are sold out.
In light of recent rumors about a supposed breakup plan between Travis and Taylor, which circulated online, Travis’s team has clarified that these documents are entirely fabricated. They have taken legal steps against those behind the false documents, which they believe were part of a school project. The most recent public appearance of the couple was at Taylor’s Rhode Island home for Blake Lively’s birthday in late August.
