Elon Musk’s daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson has expressed deep concern about her future in the United States following the recent presidential election won by Donald Trump. The estranged 20-year-old, who identifies as transgender, took to social media to voice her frustrations over her father’s support for the president-elect.
“I’ve been considering this for a while, but yesterday made it clear,” Wilson posted on Threads. “I don’t envision my future in this country. Even if Trump is only in office for four years and somehow the anti-trans laws don’t come to fruition, those who supported this are still part of the fabric here and they’re not going away.”
Criticizing her father and other family members who back Trump, Wilson did not hold back her feelings about the election results and the state of American politics. “Watching my former family members in the media makes me thankful that I didn’t inherit their apparent inability to stand up for what’s right,” she remarked in a follow-up post.
She also urged her followers to channel their anger toward the politicians and wealthy individuals responsible for the current political climate. “Direct your anger towards them,” she emphasized.
While she made it clear that Trump supporters were not welcome on her social media, she acknowledged her feelings were not solely aimed at them. “If any of y’all are Trump supporters, get off my page now,” she stated firmly.
Wilson’s strained relationship with her father has been a topic of discussion since she legally changed her name and gender identity in June 2022. At that time, she made it clear she didn’t want to be associated with Musk. He has since publicly commented on her transition, suggesting that she was influenced by so-called “woke” ideologies.
Vivian’s candid remarks about her father’s support for Trump come amid an ongoing estrangement, which has been marked by her outspoken views on social media and her desire to distance herself from Musk’s public persona.
