La La Anthony Reveals Insights from Her Son Kiyan on Fashion Choices
In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, La La Anthony opened up about the valuable fashion lessons she’s learned from her son Kiyan, 18, as she prepares to host the 14th Rookie Kids Fashion Show by Haddad Brands in Los Angeles on September 26. Reflecting on their shared passion for style, La La shared how Kiyan has influenced her wardrobe choices over the years.
Kiyan, who walked the runway at the same event back in 2015, has been a constant source of inspiration for La La. “We’ve bonded over fashion more than ever,” the 42-year-old actress and television personality revealed. “He keeps me updated on the latest trends and styles.” La La also emphasized the importance of authenticity in fashion, saying, “The best wisdom I offer him is to always stay true to himself. Following trends is fine, but loving what you wear is what truly matters. When you feel good in your outfit, it shows.”
In her own journey, La La has recognized how her style has transformed over time, noting the occasional regret when looking back at certain outfits from a decade ago. “Style evolves, and I do think back to some past choices and wonder, ‘What was I thinking?'” she admitted.
At present, La La is embracing a cozy yet edgy style. Her favorite fall look? “I’m into fly sneakers and am always drawn to denim-on-denim. It’s a classic that never goes out of style, and it offers so much versatility,” she explained. “While I love feeling sexy, my true nature is more tomboyish. Comfort is key for me.”
