Hot Pilates is turning up the heat in more ways than one. Shannon Nadj, the visionary behind Hot Pilates, has launched her inaugural reformer Pilates studio right next to her popular heated mat Pilates studio in West Hollywood, California. The buzz is palpable, with celebrities like Lori Harvey already crowding the new fitness destination. “As we near our 10th anniversary of Hot Pilates, our clients have been clamoring for reformer classes given the current surge in Pilates popularity. I felt motivated to impart my expertise and reintroduce classical reformer Pilates,” Nadj shared.
What can participants expect? “We will utilize classic machines that engage the countless tiny muscles in your body that you may not even realize exist,” Nadj explains. “Our approach combines the dynamic nature of athletic-style Pilates while maintaining the traditional principles, all aimed at enhancing core strength, increasing flexibility, and improving posture.”
While the reformer sessions won’t reach the scorching 95°F typical of the studio’s renowned hot classes, they still promise a workout that will get your heart racing. “Classes last 50 minutes and are not heated, but expect to break a sweat. I crafted the space to serve as a sleek and contemporary wellness sanctuary. It’s designed to be intimate, ensuring a personalized, hands-on experience, and we invite everyone to feel at home here,” she adds.
Each of the two facilities boasts its own distinct atmosphere, yet they complement each other perfectly. “The reformer is a reliable tool that guarantees proper form and movement execution. By incorporating 2-3 reformer sessions weekly, you can enhance the resistance you feel on the springs during your mat workouts,” Nadj points out. “The combination of both elements can significantly transform your body. I’ve noticed changes in my physique after just a few sessions,” she reveals, emphasizing the impact of this innovative fitness approach.
