La La Anthony knows style is a family affair. Recently, she chatted with ET about the upcoming 14th Rookie Kids Fashion Show that she will be hosting with Haddad Brands on September 26 in Los Angeles. Her 18-year-old son, Kiyan, who she co-parents with ex-husband Carmelo Anthony, previously walked the runway at the event back in 2015. Since then, their bond over fashion has been growing stronger.
“We’ve kept the fashion conversation going. He updates me on what’s hot and stylish,” the 42-year-old television star shared. She added, “My best style advice to him is to embrace his individuality. Trends are great, but the key is to love what you wear. When you feel good in your outfit, it shows.”
La La believes that this principle has shaped her style choices over the years. “My fashion sense has transformed with different trends. I look back at some past photos, and I sometimes think, ‘What was I thinking with that outfit?’ Style is always evolving,” remarked the New York native.
These days, La La prefers comfy yet stylish outfits with an edgy twist. For the fall, she loves pairing trendy sneakers with denim ensembles. “Denim-on-denim is a classic look; it can be dressed up or down, which I really appreciate,” she explained.
While she adores sexy styles, La La identifies as a tomboy at heart. “Comfort is key for me,” she admitted, showcasing her relaxed approach to fashion without sacrificing her unique flair.
