Kylie Jenner made quite a statement during her time at Paris Fashion Week, where she was seen alongside her sister, Kendall Jenner, while enjoying an array of fashion events.
Although she skipped the Balmain runway show, the founder of Kylie Cosmetics didn’t miss the opportunity to pay homage to designer Olivier Rousteing. Posing in a stunning custom gown emblazoned with a striking image of her own face, Kylie showcased the unique piece on her Instagram.
The eye-catching gown, crafted with countless beads, captured the attention of fashion enthusiasts. The custom design mirrored the high-fashion silhouettes presented by Rousteing earlier in the week, with models showcasing similar gowns adorned with vivid red-lipped portraits.
Kylie’s strapless dress featured a side profile of her likeness, complete with bright pink lipstick, all meticulously created from hundreds of thousands of beads. The ultra couture garment was a personalized take on the intricate designs seen at the recent Balmain show, which highlighted an array of models in long-sleeved gowns featuring the same artistic facial aesthetic.
In a statement reflecting on his collection, Rousteing expressed his fascination with intricate embellishments and how they translate into complex designs. He noted that some of the photo-realistic creations necessitated weeks of dedicated embroidery to achieve their exquisite detail.
This collaboration between Kylie and Rousteing isn’t a first. The Kardashian-Jenner clan has nurtured a close relationship with the designer over the years. Additionally, Kylie Cosmetics partnered with Balmain back in 2019.
As for Kylie’s plans for her custom look, it remains uncertain whether she had intended to attend the Balmain show or if she’ll debut the dress at a future event. However, she certainly supported her sister by attending Kendall’s runway presentation for Schiaparelli the following day.
On that occasion, Kylie stunned in a fitted black dress with white piping, styled elegantly with Old Hollywood-inspired waves in her hair. Meanwhile, Kendall turned heads with her newly blonde locks, sporting a uniquely designed corseted outfit that resembled a casual tank top and jeans.
Just nights before that, Kylie was out celebrating Rosalía’s birthday, donning a daring leather minidress at a festive soirée attended by friends like Gigi Hadid and Stassie Karanikolaou. Kendall also made waves that evening in a sheer nude maxi dress, solidifying the sisters’ reputation for making bold fashion choices.
With several days still remaining in Paris Fashion Week, it’s safe to say that Kylie and Kendall have a lot more in store for their fans and the fashion community.
