Jason Kelce is once again praising his wife, Kylie, for stepping in to assist with his wardrobe choices. The former Philadelphia Eagles tight end highlighted her contribution before a recent golf event. The 36-year-old made an unexpected appearance at the 2024 American Century Championship held in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, where he spent time at the driving range of Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. For the outing, Jason donned a sharp blue polo and well-fitted khaki pants, complete with a belt.
A playful exchange erupted on social media, with NBC Sports humorously tweeting that Jason brought khakis for himself. This banter references a recurring joke from the New Heights podcast hosted by Jason and his brother, Travis Kelce, where Travis previously teased Jason about his reliance on Kylie to pack his outfits. During the premiere of his documentary, Jason appeared in shorts and flip-flops, prompting Travis to ask, “Why didn’t Jason bring jeans for Jason?” after learning Kylie was late with his jeans.
As Jason modestly acknowledged Kylie’s last-minute shopping efforts, he tweeted, “If I’m being honest Kylie went out and bought them last minute and packed them for me.” Married since 2018, Jason and Kylie are proud parents to three daughters: 4-year-old Wyatt, 3-year-old Elliotte, and 1-year-old Bennett.
Jason is joining a competitive field at the American Century Championship, which officially starts on Thursday. He is set to compete alongside other athletes, including Trevor Lawrence, Alex Rodriguez, and Aaron Rodgers, as well as celebrities like Colin Jost and Carson Daly. The event this year honors former MLB pitcher Tim Wakefield and his wife Stacy, both of whom passed away from cancer in the past year.
Jason’s appearance comes while he takes a break from the New Heights podcast, as Travis is preoccupied with training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs. Last week, Jason mentioned, “We got a nice couple of months off from podcasting because, I guess, in three weeks, Travis will be in the middle of training camp.” He humorously pointed out the time constraints that prevent them from podcasting. Travis indicated he is ready to resume the podcast after training camp wraps up.
The Chiefs training camp kicks off on July 21, with their first preseason game scheduled against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 10. Following that, they will face the Detroit Lions on August 17 and the Chicago Bears on August 22, before opening the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5.
Meanwhile, Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is traveling overseas for her Eras Tour, with shows lined up in Germany later this month. After recently retiring from the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason is gearing up to join ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, marking a new chapter in his professional journey.
