Brie Garcia, the twin sister of Nikki Garcia, recently took to Instagram to share a thought-provoking message about deceit just a day after Artem Chigvintsev was exonerated from domestic violence charges following his arrest last month.
In her post, Brie stated, “The truth always comes out in the end, no matter how hard anyone tries to hide it or stop it. Lies are just a temporary delay to the inevitable.” She noted that she sourced the quote from a Facebook group dedicated to discussions about Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
While Brie did not explicitly mention Artem in her message, its timing is significant, coinciding with Artem’s recent public comments regarding the domestic violence allegations. On Wednesday, he expressed his relief over the charges being dropped, stating, “I am incredibly relieved and grateful that the domestic violence charges against me have been dropped. This has been an extremely difficult time for me. I am thankful that the truth has prevailed.”
Artem, a former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant, further emphasized that his top priority remains his and Nikki’s four-year-old son, Matteo. He was arrested following an incident at their Napa, California residence that took place on August 29. Although it is not confirmed whether Nikki was a victim, a 911 call suggested she was involved in a heated argument with Artem prior to the police being notified. Matteo was reportedly present during the altercation.
Chigvintsev’s lawyer has stated that he was “not the primary aggressor” in the dispute, and this sentiment was echoed in additional comments provided to the media. “My understanding of the investigated facts surrounding the 8/29/24 incident have led me to conclude from the beginning that Artem was not the primary aggressor,” said Ilona Antonyan, Artem’s attorney. “I firmly believe that to be true, even under the family court’s standard of proof.”
Nikki filed for divorce from Artem on September 11, a mere two weeks after his arrest. The couple first crossed paths while working together on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2019 and later married in August 2022. Their son, Matteo, was welcomed into the world on July 31, 2020.
