In the world of reality television, honesty often comes with a price, and Jessel Taank, a standout star of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” is not shy about her cosmetic enhancements. During a recent chat on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” the 41-year-old fashion publicist addressed comments from her co-star Brynn Whitfield, who took a jab at Taank for unveiling a “new face” in the latest season of Bravo’s hit show.
Taank revealed that seeing herself on-screen prompted her to make some adjustments to her appearance. “When you constantly watch yourself on television, you become hyper-aware of every detail,” she shared.
Recently, in a Jan. 7 episode, Whitfield remarked on Taank’s transformation, pointing out changes in her face and teeth, suggesting that the “old Jessel” had vanished in favor of something more polished. “I decided to tweak a couple of things,” Taank responded to the insinuation, explaining that the use of Botox and filler is commonplace. “Honestly, who doesn’t get a little Botox here and there?”
Since her mid-20s, Taank has been open about her relationship with aesthetic procedures. She called out Whitfield’s jab as an attempt to portray her as “vain,” a label she confidently embraces. “I’ve been getting Botox since I was 26. It’s transformative, and I’m not one to hide what I do,” Taank stated.
Moreover, she discussed her porcelain veneers, which were crafted by renowned dentist Dr. Victoria Veytsman. Taank revealed the personal backstory behind her dental work, dating back to her childhood—a swimming pool accident that required significant cosmetic intervention after she injured her mouth. “You wouldn’t believe the story. I slipped and fell, and it was a real wake-up call about maintaining my smile,” she recalled with a laugh.
The Bravolebrity insisted that transparency is key in navigating her fame and the pressures associated with it. “I’m completely upfront about what I do; there’s no need to keep it secretive,” Taank concluded, emphasizing her desire to demystify cosmetic procedures for others.
