Timothée Chalamet sidesteps girlfriend Kylie Jenner inquiry during film festival interview
Timothée Chalamet showcased his ability to dodge personal questions during an interview at the Palm Springs Film Festival. When asked by an “Entertainment Tonight” reporter about having his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, by his side at the event, he skillfully redirected the topic.
“You have a lot of supporters in here. I know you brought your partner-in-crime, Kylie, too. What’s it like to have her supporting you on a night like this?” the reporter posed to the actor on Saturday. Chalamet replied, “It’s a great feeling to be in a room with so much love and so many great peers and people that are fantastic.”
While he did not elaborate on Jenner’s presence, he added, “I like seeing the new wave and the new generation here, and I also enjoy recognizing those who have been holding it down for decades.”
Photos emerged on social media capturing Jenner supporting Chalamet, 29, as he promoted his role in the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown.” Despite being at the high-profile event, Jenner kept a low profile as Chalamet walked onto the red carpet solo.
On the horizon, the couple is set to attend the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. A recent Twitter post teased the seating arrangement, displaying the “Kardashian” star’s name right next to Chalamet’s. He is nominated for best actor in a drama film, portraying the legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan in the James Mangold-directed feature. He shares the nomination spotlight with the likes of Adrien Brody, Daniel Craig, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, and Sebastian Stan.
Chalamet further expressed his appreciation for both established and emerging talents within the industry: “I like seeing the new way and the new generation here and I also like seeing everyone that’s been holding it down for decades-plus.”
Previously, Jenner and Chalamet attended the 2024 Golden Globes together, where they were openly affectionate in front of the cameras. Their romance began in April 2023, following Jenner’s split from Travis Scott, with whom she shares two children, daughter Stormi and son Aire. The couple made headlines when they were spotted enjoying each other’s company at Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” World Tour concert in September 2023.
In recent weeks, reports suggested they enjoyed a “magical” Christmas together with Jenner’s children, partaking in festive activities like driving to view holiday lights. The couple has maintained a relatively private relationship, consisting of cozy date nights and rare public appearances while keeping their romance under the radar.
